Note to the reader! This Encyclopedia is a work in-progress. It is my intention to update this page as needed instead of including pronunciation guides in my fantasy novels for The Sword Of The Dragon series. Because new book releases will necessarily add new names, places, creatures, etc. a digital record is better. Enjoy! Albino al-buy-noh
The great white dragon and original lord of Emperia, a high prophet seeking to follow the will of his God and Creator as best he can.
Al’un Dai al-oon dy
1. Place: The fortress temple built by Hermenuedis to house and honor his mistress. It was hidden west of the Eiderveis River for a thousand years after the Trantureen Wars. Surrounded by a moat, it was a black metal and stone structure that rose from a vast depression in the land.
2. Person: The beautiful witch mistress of Hermenuedis who maintained her youth by siphoning it from others in human blood sacrifice. Youth stolen from those with true youth in their minds and bodies.
Art’en art-en
The male members of a winged humanoid species that was once prosperous in the world of Subterran. Their faces have a distinctly boney structure with high cheekbones and their wings are feathered like an eagle’s.

The fairy Miverē’s family, the Bladegrasses, boasted the most members. A healthy rivalry existed between them and the next largest group, the Leaflets.

The Chronicler
The Chronicler was a world traveler. He journeyed beyond the Hemmed Land to record his experiences with places and creatures. The scrolls of this historian of the people of the Hemmed Land were preserved by Jevnar, Ombre’s father. The scrolls were left for Ombre and were, in large part, regarded as mere myth by the people of the Hemmed Land.

The Clovers
Fairy family living in Shizar Palace. They were known to be a bit on the strict side, the males dominating more than a little. But they were faithful servants of the dragon.

The kingdom of many various creatures ruled over by the prophet Albino.

The elderly prophetess living along the eastern banks of the Eiderveis River.
Eternal bands
The heaven-bestowed wedding rings made of silver with a flame burning under a tiny window on each. As long as the spouse lives the flame in the ring burns.

The fairy family at rivalry with the Bladegrasses in Shizar Palace. To this family had fallen the blessing and the curse of short stature. Blessing because the male fairies of the other families found the petite females quite attractive, and a curse for the Leaflet males because they often found it difficult to woo females.

Partiers by nature, the Stems were another fairy family in Shizar Palace. They had long gangly legs and distinctive green hair, and lovers of elderberry wine.

Vile trio of wizards. The wicked and deadly trinity consisting of Hermenuedis, Valorian, and the Cockatrice.
Valorian vuh-lore-ee-an
The black dragon wizard who created the first Grim Reaper through the sacrifice of a willing human male.

A mountain near the mountains guarded by Patient the Shepherd.
Xavion ex-zav-ee-un
Warrior captain of the Six. During the Battle of the Stone Plains of Galaban, Xavion wore a white cape, had a graying beard, and wielded his sword which had a blade that appeared as cut diamond, casting rainbows of color when the sun hit it.
